Frinned’s Quest. Part 1
In the Forest Of Forever, the Unicorns played as iridescent rays of sunlight streamed through the peaceful glades. Melody happily walked over to the clear water pool to drink. As she looked down, there by her hooves was a golden ring sparkling in the sunlight. Melody picked it up with her horn and wondered who it could belong to. A feeling of love surrounded her and with thought she saw the person the ring belonged to.
Melody knew she must return it to her owner but how? The ring came from the physical realm. Melody knew she had to contact someone on the Earth Plain for it to be discovered and taken to it’s rightful owner. Melody called to her husband Frinned to come quickly to see what she had found and showed him the ring. Beautiful to look at, set with clear crystals and emeralds the gold ring was inlaid with sacred symbols. Frinned reconised it instantly as he had been studying at the halls of records.
“The lost ring of Quan Yin.” he gasped.
Whilst thinking of the beautiful Quan Yin and the ring, a light blue mist surround the two Unicorns and they stared in amazement as a golden light formed in the center and before them appeared Quan Yin.
“My dearest friends, How wonderful you have found my ring.
Many years ago in my life time on Earth, this ring was given to me by my father. It was lost by the river as I helped a mother to bathe her sick child. Embedded in the water bed until such a time has come on Earth for it to be gifted to a special soul.
This dear one will go far and my energies of love and compassion surround this person in all they do.
The time has come and it is also your time dear Frinned to deliver this ring to it’s new owner. I shall surround you in my loving energies which you will take to this person. God Blesses You Frinned.” Quan Yin’s smile stayed with them as she dissapeared.
” Wait! ” shouted Frinned. “How do I find this person My Lady?”
“Follow your inner guidance.” came the reply like a song in the air as the blue mist dispersed.
“Oh, Crumbs, Melody!” said Frinned. “Whilst it is a great honour to deliver Quan Yin’s lost ring to this person, it is also a great responsiblity.”
” Well my beloved husband, if anyone can do it you can, and just think how proud your children will be of you.” Melody replied.
Little Frinned their five year old son trotted up to his parents.
“Can I come Dad?” he asked all excitedly. ” On Earth, they have jelly and icecream and parties and dancing and play games. Who was that pretty lady? She blows me kisses sometimes and smiles alot” Little Frinned said without pausing for breath.
“No son, you cannot come with me yet, but when you are older
you will follow in my hoofsteps and one day your turn will come to touch the hearts of people on Earth with happiness and love. Oh yes and you will get to play games as well but not until you are older.”
Little Frinned’s face dropped.
“That pretty lady son, is the Master Quan Yin. Highly respected in all realms. Be on your best behaviour when you meet her.” Frinned replied with a stern fatherly voice.
“Ok Dad.” Little Frinned said thoughtfully.
“Dad, can I tell you something?” Little Frinned looked expectantly at his Dad.”
“Yes Son, you can tell me something.” Frinned said with a gentle vioce.
“Well.” began Little Frinned. ” I was playing and singing by the river and that lady came to say hello. Well….” Little Frinned hesitated.
“Well what son?” said Frinned.
“Well, I splashed mud all over the lady’s dress and she got wet.” Little Frinned blurted out.
Frinned froze, but before he could say anything his son carried on.
“The lady told me it didn’t matter and she sang a song with me. She said my happiness was a wonderful thing to see. “
Melody nuzzled Little Frinned and lost for words Frinned told them both he was off to make plans to return Quan Yin’s ring to Earth.
Frinned picked his way carefully across the stony escarpment which led him to The Cave of Visions. It was dark as he entered the cave and he shone the light from his horn to illuminate his path. In the stillness of the damp air he finally heard the sound of water flowing as he neared what he had come for.
Remembering how when he was a young lonely Unicorn how he had yearned for a love of his own, as one by one his friends all met their partners.
Old Uncle Serapis had brought him to this place to give him a glimpse of his future. Shafts of light cascaded down to where he stood beside The Sacred Pool of Antiquity. The pool was surrounded in natural stone, which, glistened with diamond dust as the light danced from the outside through a hole in the caverns ceiling.
All those years ago as he looked into the magical pool of spring water, he had seen his beautiful wife Melody and the birth of their son. A tear welled up in his eye and trickled down his nose as he lovingly remembered the vision and the joy he felt when he first met Melody. He had not returned here until now, hoping that he would be shown who was to receive Quan Yins Ring and where on the Earth they lived.
Shutting his eyes Frinned took a deep breath and said the sacred prayer his Uncle Serapis had taught him. Then he gazed into the still clear water of the Pool of Visions. At first, all he could see was his reflection, which dissapointed him. He held his gaze and gradually another image formed in the pool. A picture of a young woman working, surrounded by children, plainly dressed. She looked tired as he saw her next sitting at a desk surrounded in paperwork. The vision faded. “But Where ?” Frinned thought, “And what is her name?” With those thoughts the name Helena appeared in gold followed by images of where Frinned would find her, on the outskirts of a town he had once known when he was a horse. The images dissapeared and after saying a prayer of thanks Frinned left the cave.
Halfway down the escarpment as his eyes adjusted to the sunlight Frinned caught sight of Little Frinned hiding behind a boulder.
“What are you doing here!” he shouted angrily at his son. “Is your Mother with you? Do you know how dangerous it is to climb this mountain slope? I expect your Mother is worrying over you! Well! Does she know you are here?!!!”
Little Frinned with his head down answered “No Dad, I just wanted to come with you.”
Frinned gave Little Frinned a long lecture as they walked home. They galloped through the soft grass of Daisy Meadow where they lived. Melody raced to meet them. Little Frinned started to cry and Melody made him promise never to go anywhere without an adult again.
Two days passed and it was time for Frinned to leave for his quest. To get to Earth from the realm of the Unicorns he knew he must enter the Rainbow Bridge Gateway which was guarded by a huge Angel. Frinned, approached the gateway nervously, accompanied by Melody and Little Frinned who wanted to see him off.
The pretty colours of the Rainbow Gateway and meeting the Angel excited Little Frinned so much he could not keep still. He wished he was going with his Dad. The Angel entered into a crystal panel the exact co-ordinates for time and place. Frinned would be traveling to Glastonbury in England to April 30th 2008. The gateway lit up flashing brilliant rainbow colours throughout the whole room. Little Frinned watched all that was happening and jumped around unable to contain his excitement. As the colours of the Rainbow Gateway settled into pure arcs of colour Frinned walked through the brightly coloured lights.
“Dad!” shouted Little Frinned as he rushed to be with his Father. The Angel tried unsuccessfully to grasp Little Frinned as he darted into the Rainbow Gateway. The gateway closed and they were both gone.
Melody was besides herself and the Angel was in big trouble. It was one thing to face God with what had happened but another thing entirely to face the wrath of a Mother. The Angel called for assistance and showed Melody on the vision board that both Frinned and her son had arrived safely at the top of Glastonbury Tor.
” At least he’s with Frinned.” she thought as all sorts of worries flooded her mind. Frinned had two days before he could come back with her son. ” Let me speak to your supervisor NOW!!!” she demanded of the Angels as she stormed off to their offices. Flying faster than she had ever flown before the Angel responsible had a job to keep up with her. Dismissing all protocol at the High Temple she furiously galloped into the council chambers and demanded that action be taken to get her son back from Earth!!!
