Frinned’s Quest. Part Two
As Frinned surveyed the exillarating view from the top of Glastonbury Tor he felt a happiness from days gone by. His previous apprehension dissapeared as he confidently went over his plans to meet Helena Newbury in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey and to contact the young man who would deliver Quan Yin’s ring to her. Pleased with his plans Frinned smiled to himself as he trotted down the hill towards the town.
“Dad! Dad! Wait for me!” he heard in the wind. Frinned turned to look back thinking he had heard his son Little Frinned. He had, horrified there before him, racing towards him came Little Frinned.
“I don’t believe this ” Frinned groaned.
After hearing how Little Frinned had followed him and after giving Little Frinned another lecture Frinned resided himself to the fact that his son was with him. His fatherly instinct took over to ensure Little Frinned would come to no harm. He would never be able to face Melody should anything happen to their son. As they trotted down the Tor side Little Frinned became fascinated by a field of horses he could see in the distance.
” Come on son” said Frinned ” I shall take you to meet your cousins on Earth.”
There was a brilliant flash of blue light all around them which frightened Little Frinned and he ran to his Dad’s side getting as close as he could to him. Frinned nuzzled Little Frinned and told him to stay close to him. Little Frinned was shaking and close to tears, he had no intention of leaving his father’s side.
ArchAngel Michael appeared before them dressed in a t-shirt and jeans.
“Good day to you, Frinned and Little Frinned. I have been sent to watch over you and your son. You have caused quite a commotion and alot of worry for your Mother young Frinned.” he smiled compassionately at the young Unicorn and Little Frinned stopped shaking but still hid behind his Dad. “I cannot interfere with your quest Frinned, it is for you to carry out but I shall be accompaning you, to ensure the saftey of your son.” ArchAngel Michael placed an etheric cloak of protection around Little Frinned and told him gently but firmly he must do everything his Father told him to do whilst he was on Earth. Little Frinned started to cry and said “I want my Mum.” Frinned nuzzled him and sent him a wave of peaceful energy from his horn as he told him he couldn’t go back to his Mum yet but he would look after him and of course he was going to meet his cousins. After calming Little Frinned the three of them set off to meet the beautiful horses, their cousins, who were peacefully grazing in a large field which bordered a school. Sounds of children laughing as they played in the playground really brightened Little Frinned up.
On their arrival into the field all the horses trotted over to welcome them, amongst them two young foals who galloped around the field whilst the adults talked. Frinned gave Little Frinned permission to play with them and happily Little Frinned joined in their games under the watchful eyes of their Mothers.
Two children came to the fence bordering the playground and looked for their favorite horses. Excitedly Rona who was six shouted to her older brother “Look! There’s a Unicorn!”
“Don’t be silly.” her brother Alex replied. “Unicorns are extinct like dinosaurs.” The bell rang for their classes to begin and the two children made their way into school.
” But I did see a Unicorn.” Rona insisted. Alex ignored her as he met his freinds who were all talking about their latest computer games.
Little Frinned trotted up to Frinned and ArchAngel Michael interrupting Frinned’s important discussion.
“Dad,” butted in Little Frinned. Frinned ignored him.
“Dad,” he shouted louder. Annoyed Frinned told him to be quiet when he was talking.
“Dad, What’s extinct?” Little Frinned asked even louder.
“Not now son!!!” boomed Frinned in a harsh voice. ” Go play with your cousins, I shall be leaving you here with ArchAngel Michael, I shall be back this evening. You are to do everything he tells you. Do you understand!!!”
Little Frinned’s heart sank as he quietly said “Yes Dad.” and slowly with his head down he walked down to his young cousins.
“What does extinct mean?” he asked the oldest cousin.
“It means that thing doesn’t exist anymore.” his cousin replied “So you don’t exist, you’re not here ’cause you’re not real.”
“I am real.” said Little Frinned.
“Then if your real how come only us horses can see you. People can’t see you. That’s ’cause your extinct, cause you’re not real.” taunted his cousin.
The two foals then started to tease Little Frinned and he started to cry. He gazed up the field to where his Dad was talking to ArchAngel Michael and knew he had to stay away. He walked to the corner of the field and lay under a tree and cried. “I wish Mummy was here.” he said to himself as he sobbed ” Daddy doesn’t love me anymore.” At that moment his heart broke in two, and he cried so much his face was wet through.
“Why are you crying?” came a soft gentle voice.
” Because I’m not real and I don’t like it here and my Dad couldn’t care less.” Little Frinned opened his eyes to see who was speaking to him. It was the little girl who had come to the fence.
“You are real because I can see you. My brother said I was silly but you are real. I know you are real. Would you like some apple?” she asked Little Frinned.
Little Frinned laughed and shouted “I am real, I am real!” and stood up to take the apple from Rona. ” That’s lovely thank you.” he said. Rona put her hand out and stroked his mane.
“Well I can feel you too so you are real!” she laughed and Little Frinned laughed too and pranced around with joy. Rona ran around in circles with him pretending to be a horse, their laughter filled the air. The school bell rang again for the next classes and Little Frinned was sad she had to go. The little girl put her arms around his neck and gave him a hug, she told him she would come back at lunchtime to see him after her music lesson which was her favorite. Little Frinned’s eyes lit up as she told him about the music lesson and as he sadly watched her cross the playground he shouted after her “That’s my favorite lesson too.”
ArchAngel Michael walked towards Little Frinned and he could see Little Frinned’s light had dimmed and his broken heart.
“Your Dad’s gone off on his Quest now Frinned.” he said as he sat under the tree next to him. Little Frinned didn’t answer and as ArchAngel Michael saw the hurt in Little Frinned’s eyes he felt his pain like the stab of a knife in his own heart.
“I see you’ve met a new friend.” said ArchAngel Michael as he tried to coax Little Frinned to talk to him. Little Frinned felt so sad he didn’t want to talk at all. Compassionately ArchAngel Michael said “Come Here.” and hugged Little Frinned. Little Frinned started to cry again as ArchAngel Michael listened to all that had happened. As he cuddled into ArchAngel Michael he was bathed in Love which calmed him and gave him a feeling of peacefulness.
“Right.” said ArchAngel Michael to Little Frinned. ” How do you fancy a music lesson? Come with me. Today, we are going to have lots of fun. Now remember that only Rona can see you and I will be by your side. Let’s go and join the music lesson shall we?”
Little Frinned was overjoyed as he trotted into the music classroom with ArchAngel Michael. There was space enough for Little Frinned to stand next to a little girl called Emily. The teacher asked all the children to pick their instruments and to sit in a semi-circle on the mat in front of the piano. As the teacher started to play the piano and sing the children joined in with Maraccus, Tambourines, drums and triangles. Little Frinned joined in the singing as he knew the songs and he felt happy for the first time since arriving on Earth.
The day went quickly for Little Frinned and at lunchtime he stayed with Rona and her friend Emily
as they ate their lunch boxes and he ate a special lunch prepared by ArchAngel Michael. When they had finished eating the girls sat on the grass and made daisy chain necklaces.
“Why are you making two?” asked Rona to Emily.
“One’s for the Unicorn” replied Emily ” He’s been following us since our music lesson.”
“You can see him too?” exclaimed Rona happily. ” See. Frinned ” she said to Little Frinned. ” You are real, Emily can see you too.”
“And theres an Angel with him.” said Emily. “His names Mikey.”
Liitle Frinned felt very special as the two girls placed the daisy chain necklace over his neck.
“Are you staying for the May Pole practice after lunchtime?” Rona asked him.
Little Frinned looked at ArchAngel Michael who replied. ” Of course you can Frinned.”
Emily shouted “The Angel says he can stay! Hooray!”
Emily and Rona started to dance around and Little Frinned joined in happily. ArchAngel Michael smiled.
In the afternoon Little Frinned joined the children as they practiced the May Pole dance. ArchAngel Michael laughed as the children tried not to get their ribbons tangled and to learn the dance steps. Little Frinned danced with Rona as she held a pink ribbon, he was having fun. Hometime came and Rona and Emily promised to see Little Frinned at the school May Day fair and to dance with him around the May Pole. Little Frinned was very tired so ArchAngel Michael watched over him as he slept in a quiet stable at the end of the stable complex adjoining the horses field.
Frinned would not be back until the evening.
Looking out of the stable door as the sun started to set ArchAngel Michael noticed a familiar figure skateboarding down the Tor hillside towards him.
” Gabriel! My dear friend what brings you here?” exclaimed ArchAngel Michael as Gabriel stopped the skateboard perfectly next to him.
“Just returning this skateboard.” Gabriel joked. ” Seriously Michael I have been sent by God to take Little Frinned home now. His Mother’s anguish has touched God and our community so deeply he is to return straight away and Frinned to continue on his quest.”
ArchAngel Michael gazed at Little Frinned sleeping peacefully as he went over the day’s events in his head. He knew that Little Frinned must at least talk to his Father before returning home knowing if he was to leave the Earth without seeing his Father the love between them would be more damaged. ArchAngel Michael stepped outside the stable and explained to Gabriel the day’s events, stating that Little Frinned should stay with his Father.
“Michael, these are orders from God that he should return now.” Gabriel said calmly.
“Then so be it.” said ArchAngel Michael.
Little Frinned had woken to see ArchAngel Michael and ArchAngel Gabriel talking. He knew better than to disturb two adults talking and quietly wandered out of the back door of the stable. Little Frinned made his way to the field where his cousins were. Knowing they were being watched by their parents the two foals who had teased Little Frinned earlier made sure they were very nice to him. They told him all about the May Day celebrations and the school fair and how the children loved them. Frinned was excited at the thought of the school fair and seeing his new freinds Rona and Emily again. The mother’s of the two foals nuzzled Little Frinned and told him they would look after him until he went home. He felt comforted even though he missed his Mum and decided to stay with his cousins that night. He couldn’t ask ArchAngel Michael if that was alright as he was talking to that other big Angel. So Little Frinned stayed in the field with his new family. ” Dad isn’t back yet, ” he thought ” I don’t think he loves me anymore.” and Little Frinned’s heart sank low as he remembered his Dad shouting at him.
With the engine and lights off the lorry glided silently to a halt besides the main gate which led to the horses field. Two stable hands well known to the horses rounded them up as the horses moved to greet them, after putting their halters on, calmly they led the two Mothers and foals into the horse trailer. Frinned was hiding next to a mother and diidn’t know what to do staying close to his new Mother he boarded the trailer with the others. Tied by their reigns to clips on the inside of the trailer the horses jolted unsteadilly as the Lorry started up the engine and moved off quickly up the road. It was dark in the trailer and all the jolting around and noise from the lorry terrified Little Frinned. The horses could hear the stable hands laughter as they drove telling how the older horses would go to the glue factory and the young foals would be sold for a big profit abroad. On hearing this the horses all became afraid and more so as the trailer took a bend too quickly and they were thrown about only just managing to keep their balance. Little Frinned was knocked to the back of the trailer hitting his head. “Dad Help!” he shouted as he slipped into unconsciousness and his cry for help evaporated into the noise inside the trailer.
The Horse Trailer disappeared along the road as Frinned arrived at the stables looking for his son. In his mind he had heard his cry for help. He burst out of the far stable door where ArchAngel Michael and ArchAngel Gabriel were in deep discussion shouting at them. “WHERE IS MY SON?!! AND WHERE ARE MY COUSINS?!! “
ArchAngel Michael and ArchAngel Gabriel ran through the stable complex and to the field checking for signs of Little Frinned and the missing horses. They could hear the horse trailer in the distance and opened there wings to fly high to pinpoint the trailer.
Frinned was first to hover over the trailer. ArchAngel Michael flew down and stopped the engine and as the trailer spluttered to a halt ArchAngel Gabriel froze time enabling Frinned to break the horses out. Frinned found on the back doors a thick chain and padlocks which he could not break with his horn. Angrily, and with determination, he put his horn into the lock twisting the beam around and sending as much energy as he could through his horn. Sparks of white light exploded into the air as the lock completely shattered and the doors fell open. Rushing into the trailer he shouted “Frinned! Frinned! Where are you?” He could not see his son. Cutting his cousin’s and their children free from their bonds he called out again to Little Frinned.
As the horses gallopped out of the trailer and the trailer emptied he could see in the dim light Little Frinned slumped across the back of the tralier. He rushed to him, His eyes were closed and his light was dim. Frinned nuzzled his son and put his horn to his heart and beamed healing light to him. Little Frinned showed no response.
” Dear God” said Frinned. “Please do not let my son die.” Tears cascaded down his nose onto his son.
ArchAngel Michael rushed into the trailer and on seeing Little Frinned picked him up gently and in a flash of blue light he vanished taking Little Frinned with him, home to the crystal healing room, sending out instructions for immediate attention once there for Little Frinned.
ArchAngel Raphael and a team of healing Angels worked tirelessly to heal the young Unicorn.
Melody stayed by his side the whole time.
Frinned charged out of the lorry towards ArchAngel Gabriel who had witnessed what had happened. “Take me back Now! Gabriel! I know you are capable of this. My son is dying I must be with him!” A tremendously bright white light filled the sky as in an instant ArchAngel Gabriel took Frinned directly to the healing room to be with Little Frinned.
Unable to look at Melody, Frinned went straight to the cot Little Frinned was laying in. Trying so hard to be strong he bent down and placed his horn to his son’s heart and beamed pink light of love to him.
“I love you son.” he whispered as tears fell down his face.
“Frinned.” Melody said softly as she nuzzled him.
Little Frinned’s eyes opened “I’m sorry Dad. ” he whispered. “I only wanted to be with you.”
Frinned held him to him and said “It’s okay son, I love you.” Little Frinned smiled and fell asleep again.
