Get more Bang for your Buck with a Psychic

The responsibility for a good reading sometimes rests squarely with the questor, but not always, to be sure you get plenty of bang for your buck, here are a few guidelines.

Free readings,  single question, in shows: these arenas don’t attract much time from a reader no matter how important your question is to you. In this situation before you ask or go live on air, be clear about what you want to know and frame your question accordingly. If you want to ask about love for you, don’t mention any names. because then you will get information pertaining to that person only rather than a reading on potential for you. This goes the same for any question about a single future event, when hunting for a job the next interview may not be the last, so do yourself a favour and ask about your NEXT job. This allows a reader to explore the potential in the question rather than having to narrow it down to a yes or no for your particular scenario.

Quickies or psychic fair readings: These have a bit more going on and don’t necessarily require a question, however, you if you have a burning interest in something give the operator the first 10 minutes, then if your question or area of interest hasn’t been addressed, ask the question, this doesn’t have to be specific it can be directional, ie you can say, i would like to know more about career, finances, take on board all that has been said previously, as the one thing driving you nuts right now is not your whole life just a part of it, Personally I ask if my client has any questions a number of times through a reading to be sure but some readers get fully engaged in the information they are receiving and forget to ask or take your silence to mean they must keep going.

1 hour or longer: A full reading leaves the clairvoyant/tarot/astrologer/aura reader in a great position to really poke around in your energy and life energetically. In this even a rocky start can turn into a great reading. Don’t give too much away at the beginning, no good operator likes that and for you it will mean you get better information. Again let the operator run for 15 minutes or so, be patient if the area of your life that concerns you isn’t discussed straight away as sometimes information that suits the question or area you want to know about comes forward but isn’t recognized by you.  In a reading I mentioned my client experiencing a loss at about 12 and asked if she recognized that in her life, this is a cue for you to jump in and deepen that part of the information, if you don’t the your operator will move on, she shook her head so on I went. Later just before her time was up she said she was a bit disappointed as she wanted to know about her mother who had died, I asked how old she was when she lost her mum, she had just turned 13 but her mum had been in hospital for  7 months. She missed a vital moment in the reading to get exactly what she wanted, it is these moments which happen often in readings that make the quality of a reading great, or less than satisfactory but are your own responsibility.

A reading is an interactive communication, but giving up too much information means the reader isn’t reading so learn to hold your tongue,  when asked a specific question or something that seems vital comes up, take the time to put the pieces of your life together so that you can gain and if necessary work through that information.

No psychic/clairvoyant/tarot reader needs your birthdate.. numerologists and astrologers do, if an energy worker asks for it chances are they will not be good at what they do using their basic knowledge or a computer program to give you just enough info to make you feel you got what you paid for. it is info you can get online yourself for free. If you want astrology or numerology find a professional in that field as they can interpret the information so much better for you.

Most psychics/clairvoyants are not trained counselors, even a great information gatherer may have no or few skills to help you through emotional trauma, if you need that kind of help find the professional who can help you rebalance your life. It is unfortunate in the spiritual world that so many think they can get away with offering services they are untrained for, I have heard many dismal failures so be responsible for yourself and hunt down the right person for the right job.

Questions! Ask questions! If you are getting a reading and don’t like the information coming through and you are not offered advice on how to change things going forward, you are getting a reading that disregards your power to change things. If you get challenging information ask questions about what you can do to change things, while you may not always be able to fix a problem without doing the hard yards first, there is always a way to speed up the process, a good reader should be able to see a better way for you, or at least see what you could change. If they don’t that doesn’t mean they are a bad reader, what it means is they are not equipped to help in the way you need. Getting another reading won’t fix it, at this point it is wisest to find someone who can help you get where you are going.

Freebies. I offer free readings as do many clairvoyants, I do this as a trial offer as there are so many rip off readers out there. Shameful but true. learners should never charge, in my opinion, until they have achieved both a level of reading and client management skills that make them worthwhile.

Ask what experience your reader has in any free scenario or paid, this way you know whether to come back if you need advice in other areas of your life

Ask what qualifications, if any, they have, some of these may not be energetic but will allow you to know if they can help you in other ways. In some states it is a requirement to hold a license for business purposes, this is not an indication of ability. I joined a psychic guild some years back where the ‘testing’ was two organizers getting a reading from me, at the conclusion they gave me my certificate. seriously what a joke. There is no authority on this planet that can ascertain skills in this area, it is very much an IMO ideal subjective and a little weird.

A reader can be a trained energy therapist (as opposed to attuned), life coach, hypnotherapist, psychologist, behavioural specialist or any number of the psyche training modalities. Life coaching would be the biggest rort around. If someone claims to be a life coach ask for their qualification, who did they train with, life coaches don’t train other life coaches there are accredited training organizations that do that.

Hypnotherapy is another area where claims are made, ask where they achieved their qualification, how long they have held it and how much experience they have had.

If you have behavioural issues and repeat damaging behaviours in your life. a reading is not going to fix that, seek out a professional to help you get your life in order. trust me. it is worth it.

Understand that if you have no integrity in your requirement, lie or fudge information, you will never get a good reading and you certainly won’t get one you like.

Lastly remember this, all professionals are aware that your hard earned dosh is going into their pocket, we respect that greatly and for the most part will endeavour to give the very best service. No reading is just about information, it is about the state of your mind, emotions and life when you ask that question, it is important that your reader is sensitive to your needs as well as your question.
